The Importance of Preventive Maintenance Services
Preventive maintenance services are important for any vehicle, but they're essential when you own a special car that you want to preserve for future generations. Therefore, Mercedes-Benz specifies a maintenance sequence to enhance the performance and longevity of their automobiles. Service A takes care of basic mechanical prevention. It should be completed after a year or 5,000 miles of driving, whichever comes first. This visit includes changing the oil and filter (synthetic motor oil), inspecting the brakes, checking/topping all fluid levels, and checking/adjusting tire air pressure. The maintenance counter is then reset by a technician. Service B occurs at the 20,000-mile mark. Maintenance points include oil and filter change, brake fluid exchange along with inspection of brake system components, tire air pressure check/reinflation, check/top-off of all fluids, and exchange of the cabin dust/combination filter. Again, the maintenance counter is reset. It is important to note that this prescribed service schedule applies to year models 2009 and newer ones driven under ordinary circumstances. If you have an older model or drive under extreme conditions, you should consult your owner’s manual and speak with one of our technicians to establish an appropriate routine for your car.
Helping Your Vehicle Run Forever--Well Almost
Keeping current on service and repair will allow your beloved Mercedes-Benz to perform at its best forever--well, almost. While no car is indestructible, this luxury performance line has a pretty good track record with adequate care. We often see older models that have been driven more than 200,000 miles. High mileage milestones are common enough that the company has a special designation. The Star and Laurel Badge and certificate are given to all owners then their cars reach Classic High Mileage Marks. These are bestowed at the following mileage points: 155,000; 310,000; 466,000; 621,000; and 1,000,000. While owning one of these special oldies is considered the elite among car enthusiasts, you'll feel even more valued if you bring your Mercedes-Benz to Auto Stop Elite for service and repair. That's because we value your car, but we value you more. Why drive to the dealership? Find everything you need for your Mercedes-Benz by calling 571-282-3380 to make an appointment.
